Im trying to build a Grand Palace and according to the .txt file it requires income of 15. I have 3 provinces that match this and I cannot built it in any of them. With a grand palace, to how low an efficiency can I go? I mainly just want to avoid the stressed / schizo modifiers on my King.

Also, France took the title King of Aquitaine while Germany took on the title of Lorthringia and are now referred to as these new titles instead of France / Germany. While this is sort of funny considering their kingdoms are tiny, it is annoying because I want to see the Blue / Green of Germany on the political map. Any way to get them back to their original titles?

Lastly, how do I get the pope to crown me an Emperor / become beatified?

1. I believe the base income has to be 15, that is before any modifiers from technologies, improvements or stewardship, etc. So there's really only a very few provinces in the game where they can be built.

2. Going below 70% efficiency increases the chance of the bad events, and the lower you go, the more likely terrible things will happen to you.

3. Edit the save game - search for the 4-letter abbreviation for the title in the save (BURG for burgundy) and you'll see something like this:
Code:
    GERM = {
        gender = male
        type = kingdom
        dna = "22854436288850"
        title = { GERM BURG ITAL C311 C122 C256 C254 C255 C252 }
        }
The title listed first will be the ruler's primary title (I think - I haven't editted the saved game since before DV, and it looks a little different now. Back up your save first just in case).

4. You need like 4 or so King titles to become an Emperor. You get beatified only when you die, and you need to meet a few conditions, none of which I know (though I'd imagine positive piety and not being a heretic/excommunicated is a base requirement)

1. No, it's not the base, i've built them in Agen, for example. It's income modified by improvements only or income modified by stewardship only... or something like that.

2. I thought it was below 80% will increase the chance of bad (read: mental illness etc.) events happening.

4. Any 5 King titles, OR Burgundy+Italy+Germany, or at least with DVIP+addons there are some more special combinations (eg. the 4 King titles in Spain). Plus you need at least +100 relations with the Papal State, at least 10 Duke vassals, no realm duress, not a heretic or excommunicated, at least a bunch of prestige (500?) and piety (100?), and can't be modest. Those off the top of my head, there might've been a couple more conditions, but in any case, the MTTH is still more than 10 years.

And I would hazard a guess that zealous, chaste, celibate etc (good christian virtues) help in becoming beatified, besides having high piety.

Your ruler's mental health will be at risk when the efficiency drops below 80%.

Necessary conditions for becoming Beatified. The character:
1) must be Catholic or Orthodox;
2) must not be Excommunicated or Heretic or Skeptical;
3) must be at least 45 and/or have a trait of Illness or Plague-infested or Pneumonia;
4) must have at least one "positive" trait (like Chaste, Forgiving, Honest, Just, Merciful, Modest etc);
5) must have a Piety at least 1 (better if at least 25).

The more positive stuff you have, the higher a probability...
