This is my first Let's Play (but not first Skylines vid). In this video I show you around the beginnings of the island and give the cims some public transport.
Welcome to Bouvet Island, a remote Norwegian island in-between South Africa and Antarctica. Did you know Norway has land in the Southern Hemisphere? In real life, it is an uninhabited weather station, but in Cities Skylines it is a bustling island for Off-Shore Oil workers and because it is so far away from Norway, Oil-riggers are permitted to bring their families. Most public buildings are connected by skyways, so you do not have to venture outside, the school has a chairlift, and there is a penguin sanctuary. The island is car-free, with the except of public service vehicles and trucks. You cannot own a vehicle. So today we are visiting the two settlements and then install a free public bus service including large blizzard shelter bus-stops.
