Hi all,
some countries(in my case Canada and Australia) may get an event where they can approve programs mentioned above.
As done now these events are a nuisance for the player IMHO:
- finishing Canadas shipbuilding doesn`t give any worthwile bonuses. And I would have built most of these ships on my own anyway as I need them.
- Australias rearmament takes away scarce manpower while the country has too little IC and too many needs to even speculate abt. when the new units might arrive.
My suggestion:
- build programs should when finished give large bonuses in industrial efficiency, or IC and a large reduction in build times for armament types included in the program. For Canadas large scale shipbuilding say 10% increase in efficiency.
- rearmament programs should work like special units events. If accepted they should have a high initial outlay of money and resources, but the units themselves should then arrive over time for "free". High outlay means high but still tailored to the capacity of the country in question.
Also, the units started should correspond to the available techs. Australia gets to start mot. divs without having corresponding techs.
BTW, lots of countries started rearmament programs in the 30-ies and not all are incuded in IC, like Canada 1936 IIRC.
