Yes, in fact. However keep in mind that the devs only pushed the startdate back a few years than what was originally planned so Byzantine fans could play as them. Spacestantinople is surrounded by the Starromans and it is expected that it will be conquered every game when the Byzantines are not player-controlled.

I was thinking about doing a Balkans thread. After all, it's bullshit that Alpha Centauri is in Space Albania when it was clearly Space Bosnian at the start date. Why can't Paradox ever get the Balkans right?!

I don't but judging by the Rome/Byzantophiles that seem to be a population of about 50% of the forum community they must want space exploration purely done by the Palaiologos dynasty
