Hi,
I am not a self proclaimed leader, boss, or pusshy guy, but think that we need a bit more direction in how/what this is going to cover, and what our priorities are going to be.
In my opinion, this mod should cover the following in order of priority.
#1. Fix problems in the game.
There are many things wrong in the game, such as aircraft carriers, the UK AI not defending critical bases and easily collapsing, Russian bitter peace is too easy to attain, many nations have unrealistic country industry/manpower/layout that make them too powerful/weak, etc. that need to be addressed before any other things. These are primary because no matter what mod you use, or if you play historically or not, they give players problems.
#2. Strive for historic realism.
There are many things that NEVER or ALWAYS happen that go against historic realism, even without any Human player interference. For example, Germany never goes for Norway (vitally important), and sometimes leaves Holland untouched. Also, Japan has major problems securing South-East Asia. Basically these are to guide the war to progress generally historic, requiring the player to meddle in order to create fantasy.
#3. Add historic flavour.
These are events that really do nothing other then add historic events into the game (such as the Olympics, possibly world series scores as a US player, etc...)
#4. Contain fantasy options.
These are the events that ocurr when things go astray. For example, should Germany have an anti-fascist coup in 1938 and become democratic, or less radically right-wing (resulting in Ukraine events being possible, etc..).
I know that many already have fantasy events created, but I think that future efforts should be made to fix the game, then make it historic, then make fantasy stuff.
So, I say that someone in each of the C.O.R.E. Nation threads should post up critical problems that must be solved (for example, critical prolbem for the Commonwealth will be A: Defense of English territories, B: How to use Commonwealth Expeditionary Forces, etc...).
