strange one here,
cable modem and dial up modem 2 player multi game. no firewalls on either system playing direct connect or through vnet, either player hosting
after 2-3 months of game time have elapsed my cable modem connection drops. I have to pull the plug on the modem and let it fire back up to restore my internet connection.
when I check the local area connection status it looks like I'm losing the subnet mask and default gateway.
I can play plenty of other multiplayer games with no problem, for some reason this specific multiplayer game is triggering a connection drop on my cable modem.
I'm running a fairly average setup in winxp on a patched and up to date hp750 n system. connection is adelphia powerlink cable modem. again, the strange thing is I experience no other connection problems or drops other than this.
any thoughts/comments much appreciated
