Can a single player save become MP?

I've used the jeep cheat as Germany to annex Russia and France by August of 37. This was done to provide the U.S. with a challenging scenario. Since Britain still has her home island I would like to MP this same game with a friend. Can we just load up any sp save and play it mp?
