Anyone know how to change your username?

Also, I hope people don't take this the wrong way but someone really needs to work on this implementation of vBulletin. It feels like the forum has only been half way setup. It took me about a week to finally be able to login to the forums. Your constantly taken to dead ends, you see cryptic messages that seem to be trying to reference some kind of variable in vBulletin code, you cant access various forums unless you have registered your game but there's not really any obvious way to do this. The entire forum kind of feels like its a patchwork of code that isn't held together very well. Oh and the FAQ has nothing to do with Paradox Interactive but looks more like the default vBulletin FAQ aimed at the person trying to set up a vBulletin board.

-I have had no problems with this forum. This forum has worked like any other forum so far.

-Registering a game is simple. You need to start reading the words on buttons and try to quess what they do. Now, what button is right below the Paradox Logo? It is the "My Games" button. Obviously, it should have something to do with games that can be owned. On "My Games" page you can see a button "Register", which logically can only register a game. Since it is in a box with two other interactable fields, you should know what these do also. Left one seems to be a drop down menu and there is written "Choose game:" just above it. Logical deduction tells us that the only thing you can do here is to do what the writing says - choose the game you want to register from that drop down list. Next to it is an empty field. Above it, is written "Enter your code here:", which logically means that you should search for a code that came with your game. Once found, copy or type it into that empty field. Once that is done you can press the button "Register".
 
Ya your probably right this should be in the General discussion forum...not sure how to move the post though. Maybe only mods can do that. Help! Moderator? Can you move my post?

I eventually saw the My Games button and registered the game. I guess it just seems a bit strange to me to have a person go (for example) copy their registration code from Steam and make them enter it on this site just to have access to forums. Maybe that's just me though. Also if your not reading everything really closely you might not even notice for a while that the reason you cant see any posts is because the game isn't registered. So my initial instinct was to go to the FAQ but the FAQ doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything Paradox related - but is specifically written for a person wanting to use vBulletin on their site.

Some other issues I had with getting on the forums: First I registered several times (I didn't realize I still had an account I apparently made back in about 2011) and there wasn't anything that told me registration was successful or not. I also didn't receive anything in my email after registering. I tried logging in with the information I had registered with but nothing worked. Eventually I decided to hit "forgot password," typed in my email address and that's when I realized I already had a forum account. So I got an email instructing me to click on the link for confirmation. After clicking on the link it looked like I was just brought to the main forum page. Nothing saying anything of note, "Like confirmation was successful and that I need to wait for a another email." I still didn't have a password. So I clicked the link again a few more times. Just looked like the vanilla forum entry page. Refreshed my email to see if I had any new email. Nope. Got frustrated and called it quits. Checked my email a day or two later and noticed another email from Paradox. This one had my temporary password and I was able to login.

But seeing as you managed to register your game we can close this.
