It would go such a long way to improving the multiplayer disconnects or other issues that might interrupt a MP game.

Doesn’t seem like it would be that hard to code, but I know it would be great for those of us who do league play for sure.

Believe me, not only would it be a challenge to code but it would take precious time, money and other all-too-finite resources to make it happen.

Because it isn’t just the Saves we need... you need the ability to even reconnect Multiplayer which we plainly don’t have at the moment. And THAT would take even more precious and finite resources than saves.



I am with you, Multiplayer is the whole reason I Kickstarted BATTLETECH as Hard as I did, and dove as deep into this Community as I have, :bow:

And while I look forward to years and years of BATTLETECH 1 Multiplayer... the Multiplayer aspects of BATTLETECH are already the very best BattleTech Computer Game I have ever played. Bar. None. The Best.

Can our Modding Community make BATTLETECH’s Multiplayer Mode even better?

I have no doubt they can and in the months and years to come, will. And while I think Multiplayer Saves and Reconnects are beyond what is possible with JSON edits and Mods, it is worth it to reach out to reach out to the Modding Community and confirm or deny it.
 
The lack of online save functionality for Battletech is one of the bigger let downs for me.
It really needs at the very minimum some kind of at least temporary persistent save function and a basic ranking / ladder system.
It mgiht be a lot of work, but it is kind of the basic level of what was promised and what really open up a whole new field for all the people who have simply written multiplayer off completely due to the lost time it all goes south.
