Can someone point me to lotr mods? I don't have a particular preference for movies or books so anythings alright. it does not even have to be released! I just have a huge fascination for LOTR and would love to take a look at what the EU2 community has done with Tolkien's fantastic world.

I remember that long time ago I saw some mod about LOTR on a start of development. But it quickly disappeared without any release. I don't remember why, most probably because of copyright. Now here isn't any mod from Tolkien's world (community will correct me if I'm wrong).
We would need new map for such mod which is difficult and tedious work. Then we would need graphics, AI, events and such.
Personally I love Tolkiens world, but I hardly see it working good on EU2 engine, even if I had enough time and inspiration to make such mod.
