Sometimes its nice to have a single player game you can dip into at the drop of a hat. What's not nice is finding there is a mandatory update that I either

1. Dont want to update because I dont have time to spend downloading it.
2. Dont want to update in case it breaks mods.
3. Dont wan't to update in case its buggy.
4. Dont want to update because my internet is garbage.
5. anything else you can think of thats reasonable.

Please make it so you can set betas for your games like with Stellaris. I have just spent the better part of a day using my free time trying to stop steam forcing an update on a single player game. I dont understand why this is even a thing. Sorry for my hostile tone, but I'm understandably quite annoyed that I cant play a game that was working just fine.

Thanks for your time.
