Hi guys,

A friend and I are trying to set up a multiplayer game. We've tried connecting both using Valkyre Net and simply over the internet.

We've got the following ports forwarded (as per the guides on this site):

6073 (UDP)
2300-2400 (TCP & UDP)
33943-34000 (TCP)
47624-47625 (TCP & UDP)

Now, we can telnet to each other on the ports, but we can't connect with Victoria. Can any of you offer any advice?

What sort of error message do you get when you try to join eachother? no ip found? version doesn't correspond to the hosted game? do you have any mods installed, are you both using the same version of Victoria? Any firewalls/routers?

FYI, if it might be a version issue, I think that IP hosting scrutinizes the files much more than Vnet, in terms of having the core game files match.
 
We're both running 1.0.4 Vicky (no revolutions) with OH Gamer's hotfix. The message we're getting is "No game found at IP address <address>".

There's no firewalls involved (we took them down as a last resort to see if that was the problem) and I even considered adding my PC into the DMZ and seeing if that worked.

No IP typically means a router issue, so I would definitely try setting it to DMZ mode if possible.

It doesn't to me, but then I have alot more experience at actually playing MP, than I do at troubleshooting MP.
