When I run the setup it sayes I have no Crusader Kings installed on my computer. I had a similar problem with Victoria earlier. Any idea what to do? I'd rather avoid reistalling windows right now.

It seems that there is something wrong with your installation (probably in the registry).
1) Try to uninstall and reinstall CK. Then try to patch it to 1.05.
2) If (when) this first step fails, read carefully this thread :Manual Uninstall of the Game. Then try to install CK and patch it to 1.05.
One more thing, you are of course using english version of CK? Cause the 1.05 patch is for english version only.

That is the problem, I have a polish version of the game but I'd like to englicize it to install the patch. Sorry for not saying this before.

However I have heard some Polish players doing it, I think they chnage the registry entry, by altering the language listed.

You will probably need the latest 1.05 beta (the same as official). You can find it in this thread (last attachment on page 2). I hope you know how to unpack rar files.
This should make your game fully in english and version 1.05.
Since this is not a supported procedure, you do it at your own risk. If you have any problems, you should better post in the thread from the first link.

Thanks, it worked. Is the final beta exactly the same as the official patch in terms of features?
I don't mind if the solution to my problem is official or not as long as it is working. I just feel uneasy when I pay for the game and cannot install latest patch only because setup doesn't like my language version. Fortunately Paradox games are easy to englicize once you have access to zipped files.Castellon said:
