Cannot Install HOI From Complete DVD ROM

I think the title says it all. PC is a year old Dell Inspiron Quad Core, ATI 2600XT Graphics, on board sound, whatever type of DVD Re-Writer as standard, Vista Home Premium (32bit), SP1, and fully updated. Never had any major problems before. Etched into the disc on the rear is Asca004/L. Disc has never been used, and is completely blemish free.

Not a good start IMO.

Ideas would be welcome as given the store (GAME Stores Ltd here in the UK) that I bought it from will not refund an open disc I appear to have a boondoggle. I trust something can be done.

Welcome to the forum

Use Explorer and navigate to your cdrom. Click on setup.exe.

Do not install your game in programfiles, create a new folder on your C drive and install your game there.

Hi There - Thanks for the kind wishes. i wish it were that easy. IMO the disc is completely U/S. rather typical methinks.

The drive is fine. What can be done by paradox to sort this out?
