Hi all -

I'm running East India Company v 1.06 and recently attempted to update to the Designer's Cut. I used the 'Check for Updates' feature and downloaded the Designer's Cut archive. When I attempted to run the installer, I was met with a window telling me that it couldn't identify my East India Company installation. What in the heck does this mean, and HOW do I get around it?

Hi,
the Designer's Cut installer checks that you have activated the original game with the activation key, and gives that error if not. Apparently in your case, the game should be activated.
Can you give more information on where you bought the game and which windows version are you using? Also which language version of the game?

I have the same problem. I have installed the game from a hard copy, but ws never actually asked for the activation key during the installation, or when launching the game. I have
registerd the game on the forum, but that's all. Is ther any way to "force" the game to let me activate it?
