Hello, I just installed HOI2. I launched the game, so the Paradox Interactive video played, I watched it and everything was fine til the video was done. So then I was on the loading screen, which was terribly messed up, it had many lines going horizontally down the screen and all scrambled together making it completely illegible. Guess what? Once on the menu, it is exactly the same type of same thing, all scrambled together with all these lines.

Please, help.

:(

problems also

ive also installed teh game and the patches. im running windows vista.....is this the problem? What happens is the game loads up...goes to main screen allows me to pick a single player scenario but once i pick that and a country to play and then try to start............well the game just shuts down...says windows is looking for solution...doesnt find any .........game doesnt work. any suggestions on how i can get this game up and running.....from what i read in the reviews its great and from what i see in the tutorial.....which for some reason works perfectly fine. anyway i paid for the game and the expansion and it doesnt work...any help would be appreciated. also of note i did try installing this on another persons comp and it worked fine..well it sure would be nice to get it working on my own laptop pc.......any help would be great. thxs/

welcome to the forum

try and rename your avi folder to avi.old

Thank you for the response, sir, but I am afraid all that did was cut out the Paradox Interactive video, I still get the same problems at the loading screen and the main menu, and I assume anywhere from that point.:(

Have any other ideas?
