I purchased the game Pride of Nations online a la Steam. I don't have a CD key code. How am I supposed to register it?

Yeah, I know that...My problem is that I CAN'T register it because I don't have a code to do it. If I do have a code somewhere and I didn't see it, then my question becomes "where is the code at?"

I need to register this game to be able to participate in the forums.
I need a code to do that.
I did not see any code (other than the purchase confirmation code) throughout the entire purchase-process/download.
It has to be somewhere.
