The launcher can start from steam, but the game cannot start from launcher, clicking start button is no response.

Is this when Steam is in offline mode but the computer is online? Or the whole machine is offline?
Computer is offline. it not works whatever steam is online or offline.
If the computer is online but Steam is in offline mode, it works okay?
I just unplug my ethernet then ran stellaris.exe directly, and it started up just fine.
Then I ran it from PLAY in Steam. The launcher loaded okay. Then the game started up from that PLAY button perfectly fine too.
So I can't explain why you get different results! Has it always been like this for you? Does this also affect CK2 and HOI4?

running exe is ok. but from the launcher, neither hoi4 nor stellaris can lauch while offline.
the bug I posted last is also about the launcher. it was not able to upload mod to workshop.
I was surprised this bug was fixed while i did nothing, even launcher version wasn't changed.
So this bug is also need to wait to fix?

I don't know then, obviously this is not a general bug in either the game or launcher.

So you are in the launcher beta. If you opt out of that back to 2022.4 is it any better?
How to? I have never checked beta version., the launcher is still beta.
And there is a new question, why installing local mod need to login? How to login while I have already login?
I don't know how you can be in the launcher beta if you have not opted into that. Maybe opt into it, then opt out again?

@Deuterium Oxide do we have any idea how someone can have the beta installed when they are not opted into it? Is that "login again" error just an indication of a timeout or something, perhaps?

Hi, I found this thread because I had the same problem as OP. I have never opted in for the Beta Launcher, but it updated to what I now see is a Beta version through Steam. I fixed it by opting into the beta, then opting back out to drop the version down to 2022.5.1.
I do hope this isn't an sign of always online DRM in our future.
