It is still possible for negative piety people to become canonized, let alone low piety.

I don't care what you say, therre is no way anyone with negative piety should ever be canonized and what's more IMO if you can't get atleast 1000 piety (enough to lower BB by 1 point/year) you''re not pious enough to be worthy of being a saint either.

Even if you don't agree there, my point about negative piety still stands.

There should be a positive piety requirement, but I can see why you might not need the 1000 piety. Not having that requirement makes it possible for coutiers/counts to become saints. Lots of stuff that could IRL get someone canonized isn't taken into consideration in the game's piety system. For example, the diocese bishop might be the one that actually visited the provinces and converted them in the provincial conversion events.
