Can't Access web site.

This happens both at home and at work (two different ISPs). Any idea what mabe happening?

I guess traceroute will not help any as the same happens with forum.paradoxplaza.com
I guess it is being blocked or proxied. But I can access forum.paradoxplaza.com which is one ip off and seems to go to the same place.
tcptraceroute does not seem to give anything further as well.
host queries point to the same name servers so I don;t know what is going on.

I need to download the 1.1 patch. But Paradox site is down. Where do I go now?

Found it. But the top posting on the sticky "latest patch" is invisible. Anyone else got a problem?

Are you saying you cannot see my first post in that thread or that the first link did not work for you?

I just tested both and they lok and work fine for me.

I just thought they were linked as the forums are host by paradox (or so it seems).
I'm actually looking for the patch for Crusader Kings but I might not need it as I started playing HoI2 last night and it is soooooo much better for gameplay then CK.

It is now 3 Feb 05 and as far as I can tell some parts of Paradox site is still down. Or at least this particular link will not work.

As I always download patches from the actual company website I have not tried any other places. Will this location ever be available again? If not, is there a different official Paradox site that has it? Or does Paradox not host its own patches? (this is the first Paradox game I have ever purchesed so I am unsure of how the company handles this stuff.)

The download section is down for technical reasons beyond our control at the moment.
Above thread lists alternate sites that have it use the core sit and you will be fine.

Google is your friends. With it you can find every Paradox Patch ever made for every game they ever made.

Inregards to Paradox, their customer support, and consumer policies, you will be hard pressed to find a company more user friendly or willing to patch games LITERALLY years after their release. I just got a new EUII patch. EUII is about 3-4 years old. The patch before this one was bout two months prior. Not bad for such an old game. Patches arent for fixing bugs either, there for game enhancent mostly. They truly extend the life of the game.

I understand google just fine. Its just that I have never had to google any game before to get company updates. It has always been the case the developer or publisher of the game had them on an official website. Of course, then again, all previous games I have purchased actually HAD a website.

One thing thats been bothering me though...Castellon. I actually read in one of the threads here that www.heartsofiron2.com was a dedicated site that Paradox made. Now, I notice in a above post you say its not affiliated with Paradox. Has this always been the case? I suspect it has to do with the separation of the companies.

At any rate, I just downloaded the patch from Gamespot, I trust them. Thanks for responses.

IIRC that site is by one of the Publishers of HOI2, SO you could call it an official site for the game just not run by Paradox.
