Can't activate 1.08 Patch

Please help me!!!!

Hello,my name is Dummy and here is why: I installed the 1.08 Patch of EU, but when I launch the game, it's still version 1.07 (at least, it's still written 1.07 in the home page of the game, and I cannot save the tutorial).

Can you give me a detailed methodology on how to install the patch or tell me what I should do now?

Here is some detail on how I proceeded:

Owning a Koch-distributed of EU, I have downloaded the UK version of the 1.08 Patch on my C: drive. This worked all right. Then I launched the .exe file ("EU Patch 1.08 UK", or something ressembling this name),I went through all the steps, no error message, I'm told it's been successfully installed. But when I launch the "Europa" file (the one last modified March 16, 2001, so it is the 1.08 version, isn't it?), I end up with what seems 1.07 (see above).

Have you installed the update in the same directory as you installed the game originally?

Thanks for the quick answer.

I put the download in the "Paradox Entertainment" directory (the one created by default at the initial installation). Should I put it somewhere else?

Personally I always put any downloads into a folder called "downloads" on my desktop. That way I always know where they go to.

Try moving the download to another place. If necessary uninstall and reinstall the game.

I cannot see it making any difference but - you never know!
