Cant Assign a Court Chaplain when using custom rulers and cant give away church holdings

Description​

Upon starting the game with a Custom Ruler all church holdings are owned by me and when I try to hand them out and assign a court chaplain, they are fired after a day and I own the church holding again

Steps to reproduce​

Create a custom ruler with a different religion then whatever the original rulers was and start the game

Did you appoint a landed Theocracy Baron as your Realm Priest?

Because in this case, no Bug here, because working as intended.

Because Realm Priests get always the full control of all Temple Holdings of Baron Tier in your Domain.


Only appoint unlanded Characters as your Realm Priest,, sadly the AI makes the same mistake currently.

Hello there! We've already confirmed this issue, but thank you for the report!

As mentioned above, currently to avoid issues with temple holdings as custom ruler, appoint your Realm Priest first - do not give your temple holdings to anyone, your Realm Priest should take all of them within few days. As custom character, you may need to firstly convert some unoccupied character to your faith if you play with different faith than the one present in the region you play.
