Hello everyone!

My issue is as the title says. I've pretty much finished the game (all researches, sustainable colony, etc) but I can't find the engineer outpost anywhere in the build menu. Is there any ways to fix this other than restarting a new game?
Thanks in advance!

Screenshots, please.
There's another thread on here with this same topic, see if you encountering the same misunderstandings, reading miscomprehensions.

But my recommendation is to do the Project Tomorrow while playing, because a lot of the rewards help in the progression and growth of the Colony. If you have already cleared the Tech Tree and Build every building there is to build, the rewards would be trivial and kinda useless? There are milestones for different percentages and like I mentioned rewards for reducing catastrophic effects from Disasters, or increasing resistance to diseases, production rates, among other things.

Have you done other difficulty levels, or a custom game, or gotten all achievements? Good excuse to start over?

I posted the screenshot (it's in French since it is my main language). I believe I understood everything; the quest just isn't appearing.

Yeah, I don't really need the rewards, I'd just like to complete it in order to finish this save.

I am kind of lazy to restart a new game now, especially after the hours I spent on this one. I might start over in a few months.

No Quest icons over Gate? Or on World Map?
It appears that the Quest hasn't kicked in or is not registered as there's no percentages bar about the 4 categories. And also the quest tooltip is not on the list of notifications on the left. From the time the Project Tomorrow Quest kicks off, the tooltip of the progress is always on the list of notifications on the left.

It is not inconceivable that some things don't trigger or got supressed due to language differences. And due to percentages of players, it hasn't gotten reported in 3 years. Unless there's a new set of circumstances that makes this a novel issue.
I'm not sure how to confirm that though. Switch to English and wait to see if Quest gets triggered?

Oh! DUH! player.log!
Please attach the file here and we'll see if there's any clues in there.

path to logfile:
Code:
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Iceflake Studios\Surviving the Aftermath\

Nope, no quest icon anywhere. And I wanted to demolish/rebuild the bunker but it seems that you can't do that.

I tried changing the language and it hasn't change anything, the quest is still not appearing. Guess I'll have to start another game later.
I think it could be reported as a bug.

Thanks anyway!

I had this notification before building the bunker. It disappeared when I finished building it.

Could be the tutorial indeed. Is it possible to turn it off when the save is already launched?

Yes, we can toggle Tutorials on/off in mid-play. It's in Options.

Were there more than one event when the Bunker was finished, when you received that notice? Another Quest, a Disaster event?
Because you're also missing the Gold Quest icon over the Bunker, apart from the notifications. Sometimes when there's race conditions, when events triggered/completed at same time, the game do not resolve things cleanly and chaos ensues. I'm not sure if Devs found all the root-cause that causes this scenario. Still, looking at player.log may help shed some light.

Tutorial was already turned off. I had it in my 1st save but disabled it in my 2nd.

It was a few days ago when I finished building it, I can't remember at all if another event took place at the same time. It might be the case.

Well, I don't really know where to find the logs in the first place.

What's the datetime stamp of the logs? Within minutes?
As far as I know the current session would be logged to player.log and the previous session renamed as player-prev.log. And at any one time, only 2 logs would then exist on the system.

How come the logs show the install path to 2 different locations:
'D:/Programmes(x86)/Epic Games/Fortnite/SurvivingTheAftermath/Aftermath64_Data/Managed'
'D:/Programmes(x86)/Epic Games/SurvivingTheAftermath/SurvivingTheAftermath/Aftermath64_Data/Managed'

So, if that is still the case, I would clean this up and uninstall and make sure no more Aftermath files in here, and then reinstall.
D:/Programmes(x86)/Epic Games/

Apart from that, I don't see any lines regarding Quests. But the above issue may have been the cause or one of the root causes.

Player.log was last modified the 24/11 at 21:16 while Player-prev.log was modified at 20:45.

There are 2 paths because the game was (somehow?) installed in my Epic Games/Fortnite/ folder. I just moved it to the Epic Games/ folder. I did it yesterday evening, and I have the bunker issue since I build it few days ago, so it is not the cause of the problem.

I can't install it in the Epic Games/ folder directly, it tells me the folder must be empty. That is why it is installed in SurvivingTheAftermath/ (an empty folder I created).

...just moved it to the Epic Games/ folder...
What do you mean by "moved"? as manually cut+paste and not an uninstall, then reinstall? I dunno if there's any other linkages in Registry or the Launchers that would make a manual "move" not the best action to handle that situation.

So the bunker Quest was triggered while there were 2 Aftermath folders or after the "move"?
I'd recommend just starting over as the circumstances does not provide a "clean" slate for us to troubleshoot from. You might want to do a clean uninstall, reinstall first though...

Yes, manually. The Epic Games launcher isn't exactly the best launcher out there, so moving a game to a different folder is a very tedious task. There isn't any option to do it via the launcher itself, you have do it manually.

The bunker quest was triggered a few days ago when I started my save. I moved the folder yesterday.
But yea I guess this save is doomed, I'll have to start another one later.
