I have CiM on Windows 7 and Steam, I can't install any 3rd party maps. I have created Maps directory in the Cities in Motion Directory in My Documents and installed there, but it makes no difference.

The 3rd party maps should be at:
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Cities In Motion\maps
You must put there the files (.scenario, .grid, .dds and .timeline) not the folders. All four files of all maps must be there, not separated by folders.

Check if the map's publisher specified how to install the map. Sometimes maps are destributed as a mod.
What are the files you downloaded? Id it one .gs file? Four files (.scenario, .grid, .dds and .timeline)?
Folder names are case-sensitive. Make sure the folder is "maps" and not "Maps".

Thanks for the help - it turned out to be the case thing with the path. wE Get uSED to USing any OLD cAsE wiTH WinDOWS.
