Can't login to my paradox account on imperator rome

As said.

I bought Imperator on Steam.

I have linked my steam and paradox account.

When I launch imperator from steam the launcher shows that I am logged in as PaulusMaximus. When I try and login - in the game itself I get unknown error after a minute.

I don't understand.

Being logged into the launcher and having linked your accounts means you should automatically be logged into the game already.

Are you saying you get to the main game menu and you see a login option up the top left?

Make sure to allow imperator.exe through all your firewalls.

I can see the "login" option in the top left once the game has launched.

It seems weird. My game is fully updated to cicero and the same error was present when I was playing on pompey update.

I am not good enough to play multiplayer yet, so its not a major deal, but maybe in a couple of months I might be and then I will care a bit.

EDIT: So I went into my firewall settings after I posted this and added a new rule to allow imperator as an allowed application. Now I am logged in. Shiiiett
