Hello all. Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find it.

I've started several new games recently, and can't offer anyone in my court in marriage, with the exception of my ruler. In one recent game, I had three sons, ages 18-25, who all remained single because I couldn't propose marriages for them with any other court in the game. Anyone have any idea what's going on here?

Thanks for the help.

Welcom to the forum

This is not really a technical support question

You can only arrange marriages yourself for people who have the same dynasty name as your ruler and are in your court. Normally the sons have the same name as your ruler. So this sounds like a strange thing. Are you sure your sons were in your court ?

Was it with a totally new game ? Then what scenario, dynasty/realm did you play ?

Thanks for the response. Apologies for putting this in the wrong forum, I guess. I wasn't entirely sure where it belonged.

It's happened both with previous games and new ones. The most recent was with the Duchy of Lykia, 1066, standard scenario. I have several eligible courtiers, but I can't offer any of them for marriage.
I've been playing CK since its release, and this has never happened before. It just started happening yesterday. Just to be sure it isn't a fluke, I've also tried starting new games as Gwynedd, Ulster, Aragon and even Byzantium, and the same thing happens.

Like I said, you can only arrange marriages for people who share the same lastname and are in your court. In older patches of the game, you could arrange marriages for all your courtiers, but this has been changed a long time ago.

So are there people in your court who share your last name and aren't married ?

In 1066, the prince of Lykia doesn't have any family in his court. The emperor of Byzantium also doesn't have familymembers in his court

The rulers of Aragon and Gwynedd do have familymembers in their court. In how many other courts did you try to find females ? Some courts just don't have females available. But you can still click on the option to arranga a marriage
