Can't Patch Doomsday

I have the box version of Doomsday. I patched 1.1 no problem when it came out. But when I try to patch 1.2 it tells me that Doomsday is not installed on my machine.

Any ideas? Cheers

Try a reinstall, then just apply 1.2

Most people will not need to do that.

I'm sorry, I don't understand. Can you tell me how to be one of the "most people"? What registry entry is the patch looking for?

Most people will not get that message about not being able to find the install.
If you do then you must reinstall.

What causes it then? I don't believe I modded anything in Doomsday.

Not sure to be honest.
Most likely something to do with your system set up.
How you have your drives set up, and your language settings and version of the game.

another possible reason some of us were having trouble with the patch is because of the no-time limit(NTL) patch.

Important:
-checksum will change (Multi-Player)
-use your backup exe to apply future official patches-dont be "afraid" of the "crack button"..

just something to keep in mind next time

of those who had problems installing 1.2, how many have the no time limit mod installed? I know I was one

Yes Mods installed can have that effect.
User Mods are not supported.
