treid em all but is says Eu2 has made and error in Kernel32.dll
EU2 closed

OK. Try this:

Does it say "exel file not found" or ".exe file not found"? If the latter, the most likely reason is that you've moved your EU2 directory and not changed the shortcut.

Otherwise, find your EU2 directory, then rename the "avi" subdirectory "avi_back" or something, so that it does not attempt to play the introductory video.

If that doesn't work, repost your computer setup, particularly what version of Windows and DirectX you're running, along with the version of EU2 and the game publisher, then Castellon will no doubt get back to you.

We do not support user made mods, you must contact the maker of the mod, usually they have a thread or a subforum in the Scenario forum.

BTW: the excell file it is talking about is one of the .csv files the game database uses.
Unfortunately renameing the AVI folder will not help with this one. :)

Usually this means something isn't installed correctly. For example you extracted a patch into a new folder instead of over the original game and tried to run it; the patch doesn't have all the .csv files so eu2.exe reports "Excel file not found".

In anycase it only shows up when mods are installed, so he must contact the mod authors in thier subforum.

It may be that he is adding the mod folder on the "start in" line, instead of after the exe. You need to put the name of the mod folder at the end of the "shortcut to:" line and not modify the "Start in" line.

P.D.Chenon, any of this help?

Glad it worked out for you.
