Anyone else notice after playing GOTM it's really not enjoyable going back to vanilla or even any other mod's for that matter? Even in HIP which I enjoy, I find myself missing so much of the content that only this mod offers. All the different religions and their characteristics, all the new traits and events. The valyrian swords, the dragons, going on raids where I'm able to capture slaves, lords, even swords! Everything else seems boring in comparison.

It kinds makes me wonder why no one else has tried to add so much, I mean, even in historical mods a lot of similar stuff could be added, of course in a more historical realistic way.

Well... I could not argue with what you've said, yet the only issue I always have with the GoT Mod (latest few version) is that the crashes and or save game corruptions just get the better of me.
I tend to be able to fix them quite easily, yet then they come back only a year later or so.
I don't have these issues with HIP for example!

Though I know the mod team is working hard to find the cause of these issues together with the community!

But yes, a mod like this requires a lot of hard work, dedication, (luck?) and of course the books with lore are usefull.

This is a really beautifully made mod. Really fun to play, but like Lordhendrik, I can't play it sadly since it keeps repeatedly crashing after a few years. Really hope they manage to fix that.

When I first played this mod, maybe a year ago now, I was spoiled for vanilla. I just couldn't play it anymore. For the longest time it was either Elder Kings or GoT mod, now its just GoT mod unless my friends who hate ASoIaF want to play multiplayer. I've even gotten to the point where, upon release of a new version of GoT mod, I wait until all the submods I use are updated as well.

I had my share of crashes with this mod, but its not too bad now with the latest version. The only thing is I can't play republics that does cause me constant crashes after a few years of play. If your getting crashes from that, then switch to a lord, it's been playable for me. Most of my games I quit after a couple hundred years, and was able to play as long as I wanted to.

I have not even played vanilla game since 2012(?) or was it 2013 when I got the base game. I started with short test on vanilla and then moved to ck2++ and then found agot... After that for 2 years only short stint on elder scrolls and sengoku mods and now that they finally got warhammer out I've been playing that one.

For me the games get slower and slower when times pases on so rarely play over 200 yr campaigns and there really is no challenge after certain point in game anyways.

I haven't had the game slowdown really at all, I am guess I am lucky in that regard, have a pretty good processor. But yeah, of course at a certain point the challenge is over with, that's why I almost always start out as a small time lord. Ohh and dragon's are so OP for the player, so I stay away from them, because with an adult sized dragon you can take over the entire world in like just a few years.
