Duplicate Can't promise grand wedding

Can't promise grand wedding

Description​

Currently I have no children betrothed to anybody and thus have no visible promises for any grand wedding. Despite this I'm unable to promise a grand wedding as the game states that I can only promise one grand wedding at a time.

Steps to reproduce​

Not exactly sure how it happened, but I betrothed my youngest daughter to somebody with a promise to grand wed to start. Then the man who was betrothed to her died when I wasn't paying attention. Despite his death, my daughter lost all her "arrange marriage" options and couldn't be set up to marry anyone else, and so I think the promise wasn't cancelled with his death. Having noticed she couldn't marry I tried turning her into a nun to see if that would cancel any promises that were hidden, but nothing changed.

This happened to me after the bride died while traveling to the grand wedding. Years later when the original timer expired to hold the grand wedding, I got a message saying the father of the bride was furious that I didn't keep my promise, (LOL? ). So something must have happened to the bride (or groom I suppose) in your case as well.

I was not able to arrange any grand weddings until I got the message and suffered a prestige/fame penalty for "breaking the betrothal."
