can't read "db\events\103.txt"??

Weird problem :wacko:

Used to have a 1.2G AMD Athlon running on XP home.
HOI ran fine.

Just got a PIV 2.6G, 512Mb RAM with XP pro, DirectX 9.0b.
My vid card is Nvidia GForce 4400Ti with 128Mb and latest drivers.
HOI runs fine when I install it stock from the CD, i.e. version 1.02.

Downloaded and installed 1.5c. The game starts but I have an error message when it's reading a scenario:
[can't read "db\events\103.txt"]

Any idea what's wrong?

Just checked my HOI folder.

In db/events folder, I see 101.txt and 102.txt (the rest are mostly names of countries), but no 103.txt...

Should HOI be asking for such a file? Anyone can tell me where I can find it?

Never mind.... I missed a step when installing the patches.

Im having a related problem

When I try to play HOI it gives me a message excel file not found but my text.csv is in my config folder if its not text.csv than what is it and why dont I have it?

Okay I need a little more info to go on.
What patch are you using?
1.05C? or just 1.05?
What publisher version of the game do you have? Their logo will be on the CD.

Sorry I found out what the problem is it was because I accidentally deleted my map folder stupid me
