Playing DD 1.3a, no mods, running on Vista.
All of a sudden, I can no longer select additional units by holding Ctrl and clicking on their health bar (yes, while using sprites) -- doing so now merely selects the next formation in the stack, as if I wasn't holding Ctrl at all (the Ctrl button on my keyboard seems perfectly functional outside of the game). I can still select all units in a province by dragging a box around them, but since I can't then de-select certain units from that stack, this does me no good. Since the only way for me to now combine units is to combine all units in a province, then split up that mega-unit into the desired formations, unit combination is now an org disaster. This is pretty-much a game killer.
Anyway, this problem cropped up suddenly and for no apparent reason. I didn't install or uninstall any patch or mod. One day Ctrl+click worked fine, then the next day, in the same campaign, it was disabled (yes, I have the same problem in any campaign now).
