Cant Start the Launcher [MacOS]

Hello!
I was wondering if I could get some help as when I start the game through steam the launcher wont open. I can launch the game through the files but that doesn't connect to my saves. I tried verifying the files and uninstalling/ reinstalling but nothing has worked so far. I click play on steam, it says the games launching, then it says running, and then stops all together leaving me back to square one. Although I have an older mac model that shouldn't be the issue as I was just playing a game a few days ago.
Info: My cloud status is up to date, i am not running any mods and I just bought the toxoids species pack.

System:
Mac book pro (mid 2012)
Processor 2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7
16 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

Please delete the ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/ folder. To see it go to the Finder, hit command-shift-G (ie Go To) and paste in ~/Library/Application Support/ . Then run the game from the PLAY Button in Steam, to reinstall the launcher.

If that does not get the launcher running, we will need these files from that same folder:

Attach ALL .log files Found here ~/Library/Application Support/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/


Meantime you can start the game from stellaris.app directly in Finder.
