Can't use fleet manager after AI took over federation fleet

Our new federation member got control over the fleet and now when I open the fleet manager I'm immediately in the submenu for the federation fleet I no longer have. I can't go back to select one of my fleets or edit them.

Xbox Series X with all DLC. multi-player game.
