I'm playing a game as Japan at the moment, and loving it
, the events and new unit system are/is fantastic.
However, whilst building up my carrier forces, I've noticed that CV-3 has better all-round stats then CV-5, better sea/air defence, better attack ability, a greater range of sight. The only adv. the CV-5 has is a LOWER cost and greater range...this being offset by much larger oil useage.
I immediately stopped producing 2 CV-5's and replaced them with Akagi class CV-3's...
Why is this? Surely the newer the CV, the better it should be?
I've noticed similiar things with DD/CL's, although as some DD's are air orientated and some sea orientated this is more understandable.
Don't get me wrong, loving the mod and loving the moer complicated naval system...it just seems strange, any comments on this?
Also, is the amount of planes a carrier can hold modelled in CORE? If a CV-5 could carry near a hundred planes whilst a CV-3 could only hold say 40, and this was modelled, I'd understand, so is it?
