You need to be able to cast more than one spell per turn. I'm not talking about reducing casting time by casting whatever the name of the spell, by nearly the end of the game, if you even get that spell at all. Here I am some mighty warlock but I have to take a nap after I buff one unit with a spell I researched on the 4th turn of the game on turn 130. I hardly ever cast any spells. I sure as hell can't burn all the mana I've accumulated. It's silly.
 
there are several spells you can cast more than once per turn..such as lesser heal. There are also spells that increase your casting speed to allow more spells to be cast per turn. Your request is already met and the game balanced around the limited ability you have with them.
 
I would have agreed before the most recent patch. But that added not 1, but two different new spells to decrease casting time. You can now reduce casting time with:

Archmage Perk
Experienced Spellcaster
Agile Mind
Mind of the Ancients

And yeah, once you get 2 or 3 of these, you will start being able to run out of mana. Flaming lifestealing life weapons for everyone, and levitation too!
 
Yeah with the new spells available, i can cast lots of spells a turn - 4 infernos. Finally have something to do with all that mana. It makes the end game much better as well - I can cast metateleport several times to move units around the map quickly

Agile Mind
Mind of the Ancients (With luck on another plane, loot), found today at the Supreme Monster Den (Ghost type)
You get 300% Casting time, that makes the city buff spell that need 2 turns to cast into 0.5 turns, and all the others are 0.3, without the Mind of the Ancients the city spells are 0.8.
