I was under the impression that a CB was given to each alliance member against another if this latter one decline to join in a war.
Are there any special cases for this or have I missed a minor detail since, when England DOWed Scotland, we all joined in but the Iroquois poo-pooed the idea.

Now seeing as though I am a strong believer in never ignoring a poo-poo, I took the opportunity to DOW the Iroquois but what happens (-2) to stability which cost 4 years or so of Land Tech Investments.

Any explanations for this?

Yes, it always warns me before I confirm the DOW but I had already decided that the time was ripe.

I was aware of the time limit but acted almost straight away. I say the "Iroquois dishonour...." but no CB  I think I also checked the English relations and no CB there either

I think the Iroquois were on the end of a little too much aggression that was aimed at the game itself. B'std B'std   <hurl screen out of window>
