Hello,
This is just a small change that I am request to what is a vanilla feature but, as CK2+ is the only mod I ever run, one I hope the CK2+ might consider implementing. This only really effects those who play pagans with Warrior lodges and have large families.
I run into an issue, like in my current play though, where my character is a member of the Wolf Warriors Lodge, and so are his 9 siblings and 4 cousins. Realistically we half the lodge. I don't mind this but it leads to a problem with the duel missions that the Warrior lodge issues out. It means 90% of the time I end up having to choose to kill a family member or lose the trait brave or gain the trait craven for not duelling and killing that family member under the current options, when a family member tries to duel me or when I am given the mission to duel one of them. The second issue is of course that my family members, due to the same missions being given to the AI, constantly murder one another in those duels. If they refuse this duel the result is they become craven, making them useless as AI often.
I would like a change to this duels, allowing a penalty free way to refuse to duel members of your own dynasty, for the player when a family member wants to duel due to the warrior lodge missions or when a mission is issued to duel a family member. Pretty much just a new option in the event to say 'I don't want to fight my brother (or whoever) which doesn't impact renown or make the character craven. It could introduce some opinion modifiers, reducing the opinion lodge members have of you and increasing dynasty opinion slightly, -10 and +5 seems fair.
I would also like to see the AI do a check that take into account whether the opponent is a family member, before agreeing to duels with deadly consequences. Something like only having a 10% chance of agreeing to duel a sibling member (unless they are rivals in which case increase to 50%) and only 25% chance of duelling a cousins (or 65% for rival cousins) with no punishment beyond the same opinion modifiers.
I don't know if this effects or annoys anyone else but I would love to hear if it does?
