These questions get asked frequently, I suspect, but for some reason I couldn't find a comprehensive answer with a Google. So forgive me, but once more...

1) How can you change country colors on the map? Is it sufficient, if you just change country.csv file color descriptions in the db folder?
2) Where and how can you change terrain colors?
3) How can you change counters' background colors? Can you define them in some txt/csv file or is it necessary to recolor the counters in bmp files manually with Photoshop?
4) If I'd like to reach the color scheme similar to WiF Gold mod, would it be possible to just load some parts of the gfx (or would even this be in conflict with an AoD)?

Hope that someone could help. Would appreciate it.

EDIT: I'm afraid that an answer to question 4) has to be "no": downloaded the mod and it has even different unit types - so simple copy-paste of the counters can't be done, I'm sure. But maybe someone has adapted WiF Gold mod's graphics (or something very similar) to AoD for his or her own use which could be shared, if asked nicely? It has such a pleasant colors. (Especially darker Germany is cool.)

EDIT2: Question 1) has been solved. But it's weird how I don't find counters from my AoD folder (found a bmp files (for every country) picturing just one land and one air unit, recolored them in MS Paint, but it didn't have any effect as far I can tell).

Ask Titan79 in his TripartitePack thread - he changed all those things you are asking. You can also try his mod - it's really top notch.

Thanks for the tip, Hister. But I don't want to pressure anyone into answering through posting directly into his mod discussing thread.
In the end, those questions weren't that important and most of the things one can figure out by himself eventually - and it's not too uncommon that even the simplest questions remain unanswered sometimes.

#1 and #2: The values are defined in map\colorscales.csv and refered to in db\country.csv.

#3: The counters' colors should be changed manually, and the counters are located in gfx\palette folder.

#4: You were wrong, as this is possible. The counters in gfx\palettes serve as templates for land/sea and air units.
Just copy map\colorscales.csv, db\country.csv (or at least data on color) and gfx\palette folder (or at least counters).

Well, since you made so nice comments about the Tripartite Pack way back then, I'll stop by to answer your call :D ;)

In addition to what Vaximillian wrote: keep also in mind that, in order to make the counters actually work in game, you have to convert them to the right format after you've modded them with Photoshop (or whatever): use this program to do it.

Many thanks Hister, Vaximillian and Titan79... If that isn't a full service I don't know what is!

By the way, in order to use KeldorKatarn's CounterMaker that Titan79 gave you link for, you should first save your new counter in 24bit bmp. Otherwise the utility will not work.
