changing nations during play

I played a hands off game untill the Netherlands formed.
Does anyone know how I can change the player controlled country from Nippon to Holland?

In the save file, I assume

Start another game with Holland and ingame load ur old save. U should now be controlling Holland in that save. U could also alter the savefile but this is easier.

If you want to play holland you can play them from the start with igc.

Although apparently some strange things can happen to your score/scoring etc.

It's a useful "bug" though........

Could someone tell me what has to be changed in the savegame.
I don't want to be loading and saving all day.

Never bother about score anyway

Once I started a game as Russia then later on I went to change the name to Russian Empire in the Text.csv and when I loaded again - tadam ! I could select any of the other powers... I tested this only once though so can't garantee it wasnt just a glitch.

True, certain editing jobs make the choice open again. Still find the load method easier though.

at the cloose to the top i think there is a thing called playernation after the = ou out the nations tag. You might need to change under the nations tag in the save file there is a major = no change that to major = yes
