Changing Research Group

Ok, I want to play as Persia, or maybe as China I dunno.
But, I dont want them to slack behind in research, since it gets quite dull never to have guns ya know.

How do I do it??
I'm a lazy bastard I know.

In the scenario file you add group = orthodox (a little penelty) or catholic (no dissadvantage) below the place where your scince stands

Not catholic but Latin. Though I wouldn't change Persia to that. They weren't that good And u'd walk over ur neighbours, including the Ottomans esp seeing u got that morale bonus.

Hey, so if I'm about to play an IGC, I change in the IGC file that is in the scenarios folder??
Looked all over for it cannot find it I'm apparently doing sumtin wrong here.

ORthodox would still give u an edge in that area, on level footing with Russia and below Western Europe which u hardly will encounter soon.
