Changing speed in game

How do you change the speed of the game IN mp? we played last night and dynokeg wasnt able to get it to change maybe thier is a hot key instead?

is it only the host that can change the speed or can anyone change it and game plays at the slowest setting?

Change speed not working in MP

Playing against my brother via the internet (he is acting as host), we have yet been able to change game speed once we start. I know everyone says CTRL + or CTRL - but neither has any effect. Those do work fine when in single player mode. We know only the host is supposed to be able to change game speed. Doesn't work. Not in 1.01 and still doesn't work in 1.02.

Does the host have to do anything special beside the control plus or control minus keystroke? Does he have to be in any special screen when doing this to make the speed change take effect?

Try both of the + and - buttons, the ones near the number row and the ones on the keypad, im not sure which one does it.

Thanks for the suggestion but we have tried both "+" keys and both "-" keys to no avail.

UPDATE: We tried again tonight and lo and behold the "CTRL +" and "CTRL -" are working! We are using the "+" and "-" keys on the number pad to the right of the keyboard and it works.

thats what i was referring to on the second part of my crazy sentence i dont host though, i have a bad upload for a cable modem so i wasnt sure.

Can you get the speed down to very slow and slow?
I played mp yesterday, and in the option menu the slowest was below normal. But we didnt try ctrl -.
