character sort keeps resetting to default of "rank"

Description​

Prior to the 1.9 patch, if I searched for characters and sorted them, e.g. by changing rank to age, that new sort order would be preserved the next time I did a search. Since the patch, the sort order keeps resetting to rank.
For example, I like to sort court members by descending age for marriage and title granting purposes. I'll sort them to find the oldest, make a marriage offer which closes the search window, and then when I bring up the search again, it's back to rank, and I have to reclick age and reclick descending before I can go on to the next person.

Steps to reproduce​

Hit C to bring up the character search. ( Filters can be used but doesn't matter either way.)
Sort by age.
Close the character search.
Re-open the character search.
Sort order is back to rank.
( Problem seems to be savegame independent, but I'll upload a newly created game.)
