Characters surnames are missing in multiplayer

Characters surnames are missing in multiplayer

Description​

Whenever I start a multiplayer save with someone else in the game, every character in the world is missing a surname

Steps to reproduce​

1. Click Host Game on the main menu.
2. Have someone join the game
3. Enter the game as any character
4. Check to see if characters surnames are appearing correctly

The surnames disappear the moment someone joins the game, and they stay broken when they leave

Can confirm this but exists. Played multiplayer with a friend under the same conditions (absolutely no mods, up-to-date version, all DLC owned) and the characters only had their first names and titles.

We're unable to reproduce this issue, would love to get some more detailed steps here! Is it player hotjoining mid game ? Is it from the start ? Is it for admin government or just feudal, does it happen with landed characters or adventures ?

For me this happens only for adventurers and admin vassals. When a player adventurer edited their surname it appeared again. There was no hotjoining in my game, and the names disappeared from the start. The other player also did not have the same bug as me, and could see the surnames. It was sometimes fixed upon rehosting the game.

If the character was named "Hugh de Montfort," it would appear as just "Hugh ," when bugged. There is a always trailing space after the first name. Hopefully this detail helps.

This occured both when a player joined at the beginning, and when they hotjoined; the names would appear correctly until they hotjoined, at which point they'd disappear. This is from the start of the game at the 1178 start. I tried loading in as the Raoul family head, and then as the Emperor. Both were admin rulers, I've not tried with feudal or adventurers.

I've tried as a feudal ruler, still the same issue. I've tried re-installing and that doesn't fix it either.

Is there any further information I can provide? This is still an issue 4 months on, and it ruins the MP experience.

I can confirm that this happens to me and my friend as well. We started in 867, he as feudal and me as tribal and the issue is not for just our families but all of them. Really ruins the immersion :/
