Checksum confusion

I have been away from HOI a while and just downloaded HOI II Complete from GG. I then downloaded the patch 1.02 'all inclusive' for doomsday - I now have check sum 1.2 vblv - what odes this actually mean? Does it mean I have to download all the other patches or does this really cover all the other patches already? Do i have patch 1.3 for Vanilla for example?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but these checksums and versions and patches and.....hard to follow after a while :wacko:

You have the last paradox patch to the game, armageddon (this is vblv). Patch 1.3 was done through the community, and you can find a link to it somewhere up at the top of this forum. Coreymas is the leader of that project and the expert on patching.

for Doomsday (1.3) latest checksum is JCJS
for Arma (1.3b2) it is PHVR

VBLV is the checksum for HOI2 Doomsday with Armageddon 1.2

If you would like to install the 1.3 Beta 2 patch the checksum is PHVR like Conanteacher says.

I recommend playing with 1.2 Arma for a while... then when you are comfortable try 1.3 beta 2

In order to install beta 2 i recommend copying the entire folder contents of where 1.2 is installed elsewhere .. then extracting the 1.3 beta 2 files on top of the original location.
