this is all very funny since checksum warning isn't displayed on game start anymore. *everyone* gets the greeting event which will tell you if the checksum is valid or not. this happens one day after start. it happens only once per game.

checksum warning is only displayed on subsequent game loads.

what you guys probably have is an incompatible submod which didn't update on_action files.
 
So this mod doesn't work with any submods at all? That's a bit shit.

Sure it does, if the sub-mod maker actually bothers to make it compatible.
 
Just to make this clear:
If a submod is compatible, there is
a) no invalid-cheksum event at all, because it has been either disabled by the submod, or a new checksum has been defined
b) the event happens once, on game-load, and disappears after being clicked on once.​
If one of the above is the case, then the submod works fine.

If this is not the case, then something really strange is going on with the other mod, and it is not compatible.
