Im playing a campaign as Sweden and some issues (bugs?) has come up. As I am allied to Germany I can see that he has conquered almost whole northern Europe (except me, finnland and GB) BUT he has left Luxembourg and the Netherlands in peace, I'm like wtf! when USA invades German Norway, which has absolutley none defences! While around Luxembourg and the Netherlands is more than enough soldiers garrisoned around these countries! The AI should be able to decide where defences should be. And then I've seen that Nationalist China and Communist China is in a military alliance along with some small Asian country. Im not so good in history, but those countries should never be wanting to ally with eachother!
And fighting should be lengthend btw
I'm sorry if my post is just full of rubbish, HoI2 is a great game and all, but the AI should have alittle push in the right way
