I’ve been wondering about this for a bit: Will Cities: Skylines 1 get a Switch 2 version?

So CS1 is on Switch, but it’s pretty crappy compared to the other versions on PC and consoles. There’s performance issues, many missing features, no expansions besides the first two, and many other limits that make the experience pretty mediocre.

It should be common knowledge at this point that Nintendo has revealed the existence of a “Nintendo Switch successor”. This system is probably going to be powerful enough to run the game like on the Xbox One and PS4, so why shouldn’t there be a Switch 2 edition? The better hardware would be a GREAT opportunity to cash in on having a much better portable CS experience.

If CS2 comes out on Switch, I will definitely buy it and the DLC I have a second time.

I seriously doubt it. There is no way the new switch 2 to run 10x faster than the switch 1.

As for CS2, it might happen next century on switch?

The only way I can see it playable, is to stream the games to the Switch. But then you'll need to pay for streaming service (Geforce Now).

Well it’s been rumored that the Switch 2 will be as powerful as the PS4. If that’s the case (unless clock speed poses a problem) I see no issue getting the game ported to Switch 2 while being on par with Xbox One and PS4.

If not, then I’ll probably wait and see if an Xbox/PS handheld that plays it comes out.

Just make sure you see the switch two in action on this game. The switch one had gimped gameplay and lagged badly and very early in game. 9-tiles are the base game, 25-tiles are the remastered version (if available)

Definitely wait for it to release before purchasing, so you can see the game in action.
