Describe your issue
Bus lines are broken and buses despawning

What is your game version?
1.16.1-f3

What expansions do you have installed?

What mods are you using?
Precision Engineering, CSL map view, Move it, Roundabout Builder, Broken Nodes Detector, Network Anarchy, BOB, Hide crosswalks, intersection marking tool, Loading screen mod, More vehicles, Network Multitool, Node Controller, TMPE

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I tried to load the save only with Harmony and loading screen mod, but all I got was a gray screen

After updating the game to 1.16.1, and updating most of the mods, I noticed lots of "disconnected" pop-ups on various bus stops that kept showing up and disappear, heavy reduction in passengers amount, and heavy traffic near the bus depot. After investigation I understood the buses keep despawning, and new buses were spawning all the time

I tried to remove (deleting from mods folder) a few mods (such as CSL more limits, Road builder + adaptive network), rebuilt all the lines from scratch, reset TMPE config, didn't help. Probably the save file is corrupted since the update

I have similar issue. All lines (bus, metro, train) are randomly getting broken and fixed, new lines cannot be created at all. It happens in every city. I dont have any dlcs or mods installed, only base game. The issue started since update. edit: also epic games, 1.16.1-f3 version
 
I’ve been facing the same issue since the update (Steam version): Transit lines temporarily breaking down and vehicles deleting.

It seems the issue might be being caused by large numbers of PathUnits being generated, quickly reaching the limit. Downloading the "More PathUnits" mod by Algernon and releasing broken PathUnits using Transfer Manager CE doesn’t help, since they just go up to full capacity again within seconds. I also was advised about deleting large pedestrian area service points, but this also doesn’t seem to help.

I’ve tried to make sure all my mods are up to date, and have run the CR without it showing glaring issues. Since people are also complaining about this same problem occurring in vanilla, I’m guessing it’s not mod related.

In case it's useful, I've uploaded a new save (Temp3) and one from a couple of weeks ago (Carabinieri 61)

Here's the old save (I tried to respond in details, it didn't let me to post that)

Sadly, it is the same as the others, it seems it is saved after you tried loading it and it is corrupted. it reports that there is 166 workshop attached to it, but it greys out the subscribe all button, like it has no workshop tied to it. So I can't load it at all.

Probably it's because I used various asset downloaders to get them, because epic and lack of asset workshop... I can send the assets folder somehow if you wish. Or simply tell the asset ID's so you can subscribe to them

Does that save also have the issue?
Found two that should be helpful, however, they are different cities. First one is probably from before the update, when everything functioned well. Second one was made after update, transport lines are behaving strange

The game was patched earlier and fixed the workshop missing bug. Everything should be fine now.

You may need to exit the game if it still shows 0/0 mods, and relaunch it.

If you need more help, let me know, and I can see if I can help.
Did you succeed with loading one of the saves shared in this thread and see broken transit lines, after that patch?
 
It seems the PathUnits overload is being caused by the new “City Quay” asset (the walkable quay with trees). Deleting all instances of this quay seems to work for me.

Large service points from P&P might also cause similar issues, but not to the same extent.

I have to thank chibi0815 on the CS subreddit for spotting this one!
