Cities skylines playstation 4 edition (crashes)

I own Cities Skylines on both the Xbox One and the Playstation 4. I've never played these types of games prior and now I love it! But I'm having an issue with the Playstation 4 version. It literally crashes five minutes after loading my city. It sooooooooo frustrating . If I zoom in crash, after an auto save, crash. And I've sent the standard Sony error report every time. I looked at the forums and there are other dating back to April 2017. So now I have no confidence that This'll ever be corrected. Now I'm thinking that this is a hardware issue or poor programming and either way 18 months later it's still affecting players (myself) . Maybe this were a free title. Then I wouldn't complain, but I've done everything on my end. I've reinstalled it. I installed on a totally different ps4 and got the same results. I have TB's of storage. I think it's a RAM allocation issue. But I own the Xbox one Edition also and had two ✌ crashes but played it for 2 months straight mostly without issue. I thought that the PS4 was more advanced than the Xbox. Either way if I do try this game again I'm playing it on the Microsoft console and abandoning the playstation 4 version.

There are many different things that could cause any game to crash. The devs try to fix it with updates but sometimes when new content is added it can cause a crash again. Now as for you finding reports dating as far back as April 2017, they would have been for the Xbox edition. The PS4 edition released on 15th August the same year. They both have some bugs which can cause crashes but the devs always try to fix them.
